Thanksgiving & Stuffed Mushrooms

Hope y'all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and ate WAY TOO MUCH!
 I know I did   :]

The last three years we have brought Stuffed Mushrooms to Thanksgiving as our contribution. They are really easy to make with only a few ingredients.

Here is what you will need:

White Mushrooms or Baby Bella Mushrooms [stemmed]
1 Garlic Clove, peeled and minced
1/2 cup of Parmesan & Romano  cheese
1 package of bacon bits
1/2 cup of bread crumbs
1 1/2  sticks of butter [melted]
1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil
 Salt & Pepper

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees

    1.Wash and stem mushrooms.

    2. Dice a handful of the mushroom stems
      3. Heat garlic, 2 tablespoons oil and mushroom stems on stove.(add bacon for last minute to heat)
4.Stir the bread crumbs, cheese, garlic & stems, melted butter in a medium bowl to mix.

       Drizzle a large baking sheet or baking pan with about 1 tablespoon olive oil, to coat. {We like to use the disposable sheets with the plastic lid for easy transporting.}

Spoon or use your hands to fill the mushroom cavities and arrange on the baking sheet, stuffed side up. Drizzle remaining oil over the filling in each mushroom. Sprinkle with more cheese!
Bake until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is heated through and golden on top, about 25 minutes.

      2. These look amazing! I meant to cook these for Thanksgiving but got caught up in other food. I will have to make this weekend!

      3. These look so good! Stuffed mushrooms are one of my very favorites, and I actually used to make them with my grandmother at Thanksgiving. :)
